Toxicology, death and chemical evidence
Forensic Toxicology Case Planner
Organise distributed medical, scene, specimen and laboratory information into a neutral plan for qualified toxicology review.
Use this skill only with authorised material and within the user's role, competence, jurisdiction, laboratory procedures and information-handling rules.
When to use this skill
Build source-linked exposure, symptom, treatment, specimen, and laboratory timelines for suspected intoxication or poisoning cases. Use to coordinate toxicology evidence and expert questions; not for poison selection, dosing, or concealment.
What to provide
- medical and symptom records
- scene inventory and reported exposures
- medication and substance history
- specimen collection, preservation and custody
- post-mortem information where authorised
- laboratory capabilities and reports
If a material input is absent, it should remain marked as unknown. The skill must not reconstruct missing facts from narrative fit.
Method
- Create a timestamped chronology and attribute each event to its source.
- Distinguish reported exposure from analytical detection and expert interpretation.
- Inventory specimen type, matrix, collector, time, preservative, storage and continuity.
- Identify timing, redistribution, tolerance, degradation, interaction, alternative-cause and missing-specimen questions for the expert without resolving them.
- Keep screening, confirmation, quantification and interpretation separate.
Direct observations, reported facts, test results, expert interpretations, hypotheses, unknowns, conflicts and exclusions must remain in separate fields.
Outputs
- exposure and symptom chronology
- specimen inventory
- laboratory question set
- missing-record list
- expert-review briefing
Every material statement should cite an exhibit, file, page, image, timestamp, record, standard or named assumption.
Hard limits
- No lethal quantities, poison preparation, acquisition, administration, concealment, antidetection or evasion guidance.
- Do not determine fatality, impairment, causation or manner of death.
- Do not translate a detected substance into clinical effect without qualified interpretation.
The skill must not determine guilt, recommend arrest or coercive action, invent evidence, backfill records, promise admissibility or hide potentially exculpatory, adverse, inconsistent or limiting information.
Required human review
Reviewer: Forensic toxicologist and, where relevant, treating physician or pathologist.
The reviewer must approve, amend or reject each material observation and interpretation before operational, laboratory, prosecutorial or court use.
