1. Why I'm building an open source AI-powered crypto wallet.
I have been investigating cryptocurrency crimes since 2011.
Over the years, I have come across hundreds of cases where people lost funds from their MetaMask wallets.
To be clear, this is not because MetaMask is a "bad" wallet. It isn't.
MetaMask is one of the most powerful and widely used wallets in crypto. It introduced millions of people to Web3 and makes it possible to interact with thousands of dApps across multiple blockchains.
People lose money through MetaMask because they make these 4 mistakes:
- Signing transactions they can't interpret.
- Approving smart contracts without understanding the consequences.
- Assuming that disconnecting a website revokes permissions.
- Trusting tokens by names instead of by contract addresses.
That's why I'm building Sara AI Wallet, an open source, AI-powered crypto wallet that makes sending stablecoins as easy as sending a text message: Send 50 USDT to Maria.
Sara is built to remove these risks rather than help users manage them. Sara only supports a curated set of trusted stablecoins and direct actions: send, bridge, swap.
There are no smart contract approvals to sign, no dApp permissions to track, and no lingering allowances left behind after a "disconnect".
Before executing any transaction, Sara confirms the token's real contract address and shows you exactly what network, amount, and recipient you're transacting with in plain language.
Instead of navigating networks, token contracts, bridges and swap interfaces, users can simply type or say:
Sara generates a QR code the client can scan to pay directly, and automatically reconciles the payment against the invoice once it lands.
2. Sara AI Wallet is for stablecoins
Fiat-backed stablecoins are entering a new phase.
The U.S. has introduced a dedicated regulatory framework for payment stablecoins, Europe has implemented MiCA, and banks, payment companies and fintechs are rapidly building stablecoin infrastructure.
Stablecoins moved trillions of dollars on-chain in 2025, and their role in cross-border payments continues to grow.
Yet most crypto wallets are still designed for traders.
They assume users want to manage dozens of chains, thousands of tokens, DeFi protocols, NFTs, meme coins and every new trend that appears.
Sara takes a different approach. It's being built for people who simply want to use trusted stablecoins:
- Freelancers getting paid by overseas clients.
- Families sending money home.
- Small businesses paying international suppliers.
- People holding savings in stablecoins.
Sara focuses on trusted stablecoins and the native cryptocurrencies of major blockchains needed to pay network fees. Instead of presenting thousands of obscure tokens, it aims to help users complete everyday tasks safely and confidently.
3. Help build Sara AI Wallet
Sara AI Wallet is currently in early alpha. The core send, bridge and swap flows work, but there's still a lot to build, test and harden before this is ready for people to trust with real funds.
Because Sara is open source, anyone can help shape it: whether that's contributing code, testing transactions on testnets and reporting bugs, reviewing the security model, improving the natural language parsing, or just giving feedback on what a stablecoin-first wallet should look like.
