Recipe for Nalli Gosht

Cooking Time: Depends on who is cooking (usually an hour)


Serves: Me for dinner


Ingredients

500gms mutton

500gms sliced onions

100gms chana dal

1 tsp haldi

2tsps red chilly powder

25 gm whole garam masala

5 chopped tomatoes

50 gms ginger-garlic paste

Salt

Oil for frying

100gms Curd


Method

  1. Marinate the mutton with 25 gms ginger-garlic paste for 30 mins.
  2. Fry the chopped onions till slightly brown.
  3. Add the chopped tomatoes, spices and 25gms ginger-garlic paste.
  4. Saute well till it gets a deep colour.
  5. Add the chana dal, spices and salt.
  6. Saute again.
  7. Add the marinated mutton.
  8. Add salt.
  9. Cook till done.
  10. Before serving, heat again, add the curd and boil for 10 mins.
  11. Garnish with dhania.
  12. Call me home for dinner.
